It’s an exciting time for Goldsmith’s second year anthropology students – we were given our options forms to fill out for next year and got a chance to ask questions about the whole process of writing a dissertation next year.

Fear. Excitement. Intrigue. The feeling of wanting to run and hide that I don’t have a word for. I felt all of those things.
And in the end I picked most of the choices I really wanted and one that is just ok but I’ve chosen because of how it’s assessed in the Autumn. This seems a little silly but this way I won’t have to submit 18000 words all at the same time next Spring. Just 14,500, eek!

College is still good fun, it’s hard to stay completely besotted with a course when a lot (most) of the lecturers time is spent encouraging you to criticise the whole discipline itself, but hey that’s why we love Goldsmiths!

In sadder news, Hugo Chavez died today. My brother posted this song on fb and I think it’s great.
